Spot on! I have no idea how the oligarchy, tech and otherwise, were supposed to be representative of the common people’s economic woes (let us not say it was to burn it all to the ground!) and fix an economy that has been broken (and features amongst the most inequitable in the world) since the Reaganomics of the 80s. In the end, race and gender played the role they always have, boosted by the young white male demographic that dominates the ‘podverse’ and was effectively mobilized. Lastly, the hispanic population had never been a monolith and continues to be less so, being divided along the lines of economy and generational assimilation.
