Cannot thank you enough for this insight. History, as we know, is written by the victors. But the horrors of the transatlantic slave trade and the subsequent subjugation for centuries astound me, as do some of the worst atrocities perpetrated by men against fellow humans, the word human civilization ringing hollow in such contexts.
